Between us:
dialogical practices

Kunstenaars-coaches: Sarah John (Aus), Katrien Oosterlinck (B), Elvira Crois (B)

Participatory lab

Workshop in Dutch and English

A laboratory in which we focus in on the space between us - artist to artist, artist to participant, participant to artist, participant to participant, human to human.

We look at dialogical practices as an art form in the context of visual and performing arts. We perform collective experiments of dialogue and hold space for the development of your dialogical designs or creations.

An atelier for:

  • artists who work or would like to work with dialogical practices either as the artwork itself or as a step in the creative process

  • teachers and caretakers who want to experiment with different formats of conversation

  • anyone who is curious about the space between us and keen to deepen their skills of gathering, exchange, and listening

Max 10 participants

Sarah John is from Australia, lives between Belgium and Denmark, and is the co-artistic director of Art of Listening. She works as a performer, director, designer, maker, and trainer and enjoys working collaboratively, across many forms, on projects that dive into big questions.

Katrien Oosterlinck creates participatory performances at the intersection of dance and visual arts. She designs play instructions and scenographies for social encounters. She invites her audience to explore boundaries and connections through the shared language of the physical and the visual. Art becomes a tool for a conscious, qualitative, and different form of encountering.
